With Austin’s many tourist hotspots, exclusive events, and booming population, the need for temporary fences has grown over the past several years. Whether it’s a new construction project or a major event, Northwest Fence and Iron has your needs contained. Here are just a few of the options you can choose from:
Erosion Control Fences
Usually these fences are installed for construction projects that produce or excavate loose materials that need to be contained within the site. We offer two main types of erosion control fences. For larger debris, like rocks, snow, and ice, the fence will look more like webbing, but for finer debris, like sand, dirt, or other sediments, the weaving of the fence will be so fine, it will look more like a fabric.
Silt Fences
A type of erosion control fence, silt fences protect nearby water sources from extra sediment produced by construction sites. Our silt fences use geotextile fabrics, which allow the fence to breathe and protect it from strong winds. The geotextile also acts as a filter fence to trap dirt within the bounds of the construction site so that rain and wind won’t deposit unwanted sediments into nearby water.
Temporary Chain Link Fences
If you need to block traffic, whether it’s pedestrian, automotive or cycling, chain link fences are the way to go. These have the most variety of uses, including:
- Blocking roads, driveways or lots for construction or restorative work
- Marking the spectator line at a parade, race, or concert
- Protecting pedestrians from heavy downtown traffic
- Sheltering trees from major projects
Tree Protection Fences
If you’re part of a construction company, or you’re doing some DIY work for your own home, your clients (or your family) would usually prefer to keep those big beautiful trees intact when conducting work on your site. We offer many options in sizing and material, so give contact us today to talk about your specific needs.
